Best Of The Emmy Dresses

Although the Emmys don’t score as much as the Oscars when it comes to who’s who of the glamour world, it has its own charm. Most of the red carpet personalities of Emmy’s evening belong to the people next door category, although every now and then someone comes out stunningly beautiful, adrift from their roles in popular television shows, which is why Emmy dresses have a great significance.
Since television shows and television stars are more real to the common public than movie stars, Emmy dresses are etched in people’s minds and associated with the television actress for a long time to come. Some Emmy dresses have really stood out in the memories of people, displayed by beautiful well dressed ladies.
A beautiful pink Monique L’huillier gown looked very beautiful on Drew Barrymore who was a 2009 nominee for the Emmy for her role in Grey Gardens. Some Emmy dresses have given the best Oscar dresses a run for their money. For example, Jane Krakowski, the 30 rock actress wore a stunningly simple understated Versace gown that went perfectly well with her disheveled hair do. The L’Wren Scott worn by Christina Hendricks ensured that every curve on her body was beautifully displayed to the onlookers and was a visual treat.
A braid and a bright red Versace gown worn by Blake Lively stood out even on the red carpet. Models like Heidi Klum have learnt from the fashion world how to dress the occasion. The Armani Prive, shoulder tiered metallic fiber looked great on the super model with the right makeup and no flamboyance at all.
Some Emmy dresses look cleaner and purer like the Alice Temperley cream dress which was strapless and donned by Perry reeves who chose to take a relatively new designer’s creation to the red carpet. The Reem Acra Grecian gown of chiffon, which was a low key pearl grey in color made the gorgeous Olivia Wilde look even more beautiful. Debra Messing is another actress remembered for her beautiful choice amongst the many Emmy dresses, a Monique L’hullier gown that had a black lacy skirt. Tina Fey with her purple strapless and the ever so gorgeous and tall Brooke Shields were other people who stood out with their Emmy dresses.
Some of the designers the actresses chose were relatively unknown and yet the elegance of the dress made the critics look up and take notice.
